Chapter 19 – Faith Moves Mountains – Item 4

One     must    guard   against   confusing   faith   with presumptuousness. True faith allies itself with humility; those who have it put their trust in God more than in themselves, because they know that they are simple instruments of God’s will and can do nothing without God. That is why good spirits come to their aid. Presumptuousness is less faith than pride, and pride is always punished sooner or  later by the  disappointment and  failures inflicted upon it.
