Dear God, may you be blessed for the good fortune received by our brother. Good spirits, enable him to see it as an effect of God’s goodness. If the benefit he has received is a trial, inspire him with the thought to put it to good use and not to become vainglorious so that this benefit may not result in his harm in the future. You, my good spirit, you who watch over me and desire my happiness, keep from my thought any sentiment of envy or jealousy.
